How to Finish the End of the year Strong!
Let’s change the mindset around the holidays and the end of the year…..PLEASE! Instead of beating ourselves up about eating more, enjoying foods we don’t normally eat, more parties, get togethers and more fun. Let’s capitalize on it instead!
Think about it for a minute…..
What do we need to gain muscle and strength?
Food which equals calories…….
Instead of obsessing about how much weight you are going to gain or if your pants are going to be tighter. I mean we have all been down those thought paths or maybe it is just me talking here. Lets flip the script and think about how much stronger we will be with eating all those extra calories and embrace those strength gains!
You will go into the holiday season with much more joy and excitement versus feeling guilt and remorse. LET. IT.GO and enjoy life, enjoy your family and friends. Make all the new memories and enjoy all those gains.
I promise you aren’t going to get bulky (that’s a whole separate post needed on that) or suddenly gain massive amounts of weight in just a holiday season.
Yes you may see the scale go up from water retention, especially if you are still on that deprivation mindset train and are constantly undereating (could write a whole book on this one). Yes, the scale is going to fluctuate but those things are terrible markers of body composition and typically don’t tell a true story.
If it is something that is a big trigger for you, try taking pictures, doing body measurements and please stay off the scale everyday. Remember it is about enjoying the process and lifting those bigger numbers, just saying.
Give it a try, I promise it will be fun!
